Termite Control

TERMA CARE

Globally, termites cause an estimated 40 billion USD in damage annually

This damage includes costs associated with repairing structures, controlling infestations, losses in agriculture etc. Subterranean termites, in particular, are responsible for about 80% of the total economic impact. Subterranean termites build their colony underground and can also construct mounds that go above ground level. Mature colonies may consist of more than 2 million termites, and the queens are capable of laying 30,000 eggs per day. Termite colonies may exist for as long as 50 years. Termites are hidden invaders. They can cause serious structural damage to building and significant damage to furnitures. Termites feed on anything consisting of cellulose such as wood, paper, clothes etc. In search of food, they also damage non-cellulosic material such as rubber, plastic, nylon etc. Their ability to conceal themselves provides the necessary time to do considerable damage before they are discovered. Termite Bait Stations

The Anti-Termite Baiting System consists of strategically placed Above-Ground and In-Ground stations that use specially formulated bait to attract and eliminate termites.

The bait contains a highly advanced insect growth regulator (IGR), which disrupts termite development and ensures effective and targeted elimination of subterranean termite colonies. This system is simple to install, requires no drilling, and is environmentally friendly.

Termites are strongly drawn to the bait, even in the presence of other natural food sources. Once consumed, the active ingredient is carried back to the colony and shared among other members through social behaviors. Over time, the bait reaches and affects the Queen and King—the central reproductive forces of the colony—leading to the collapse of the entire termite population.
